Day 20

I can really relate to the story of Hannah and how she felt not being able to have children and in her culture it would be so much worse and then to have another wife to deal with- ugh that would be horrible. I love that she went to the Lord and poured out her anguish to Him.

“It is not by strength that one prevails”1 Samuel 2.9
“Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.” 1 Samuel 2.30
35 I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind

So I took the challenge found here http://www.momstoolbox.com/blog/bible-in-90-days-reading-schedule/ Pray I will finish! I listen while walking cuz then I’m not “exercising” I’m “listening”. 8) Life of Joseph today. God’s perspective is HUGE. He has a plan for what you and I are going through. Will I choose His perspective or mine? Joseph chose God’s

Day 2

Had our first Twitter meet up last night. I got some good tips ,though it was hard to follow the conversations all at once.
I am watching the boys today and had to be there at 6am so, by God’s amazing grace, I got up at 4 am ,when my hubby does, and went to the track and walked while I listened.
I think what stood out to me the most in the “reading” was Abraham being willing to sacrifice his own son. What has always confused me about that though was the fact that it was the pagan gods that did human sacrifice and God hated that. Now I realize that God never wanted him to go through with it but if I ever heard a voice say that i would know it WASN’T God so somehow God must have made it absolutely clear it was Him. Anyway it is ok to have questions and God will make it clear to me one day.

Started 90 day read through with Momstoolbox.com today.

The verse that really stuck out to me was Gen 15:1 “After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”

The Lord told him this right after Abram had turned down the plunder the King of Sodom offered him for rescuing Lot and the others who’d been taken captive.

I can trust the Lord to provide for me 100%. I don’t have to go against my conscience to get something like I did recently. He will be my reward.

Thank you Lord that You will be my reward for doing what is right and YOu will be my shield– cuz people don’t always like it when you do right. Forgive my lack of trust in You. In Jesus’ name

7/3 reading

These are the Scriptures that stood out to me today:

Is 7.10
2 Chronicles 26 .5

my focus is this one

philemon1. 4-I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

Sharing our faith benefits us too. Somehow in sharing it WE develop more of an understanding of every good thing we have in Christ!

I know with GMO sharing my faith has done that for me cuz it stretches me to know the truth so I can share it with others.

Lord, thank you for this. Please draw me to You. and help me to know You more and more so I can share my faith and then grow in my understanding and then share some more etc etc

7/2 reading

S. what really hit me in listening to that days’ reading was in
Isaiah- what more could the owner have done for the Vineyard” .
O. I don’t know if I’m quoting exactly. But what more could God do for us? He reminded me of the verse in -I think it’s 1st Peter- no I looked it up it’s 2nd Peter 1:3- that He has given us EVERYTHING pertaining to life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. (Now I could just focus on that verse!)
God has done everything for me. There is nothing more He could have done for me than He already has!!! Everything I need for being free of my bondage to food He has given me. Everything for being a GMO volunteer, a wife and friend through my knowledge of Him!!!
Father, thank You for loving me and for the Holy Spirit You have given us (me) to live inside us(me) and to bring Your Scriptures to mind. Teach me Father and help me to seek you.
